- Brian Hooper - soprano & tenor sax, flute, electronics (1969 - May 1970)
Beggers Farm formed in 1968 with a line-up was John Tilley on lead vocals, flute (b. d. May 1970 in a car crash), John Lawrence on lead guitar, backing vocals (b. 1948), Dave Holman on bass, backing vocals (b. David Holman) and Dave Smith on drums (b. David Smith).
Lawrence and Smith had been in The Earl Guthridge Explosion and Tilley and Holman had been in Crimson Lace Blues.
In 1969 they were later joined by Brian Hooper on soprano & tenor sax, flute, electronics (b. Brian L. Hooper, Sunday, January 3, 1943, Herne Bay, Kent, England). Hopper had been in The Wilde Flowers (1964 - Mar 1967).
In late 1969 and early 1970 Beggers Farm recorded album in a makeshift studio in the back of a pub in Whitstable, Kent.
Beggars Farm split up in May 1970 when returning from a gig at Tofts, 35-39 Grace Hill, Folkestone, Kent they had a crash that sadly killed Tilley.
