Believed to be the first group Peter Noone used as backing after leaving Herman's Hermits. Story goes that he left them mid week booking at Batley Variety and they had to carry on without him
I used to go out with Mick Ingram (bottom left in pic) who was the bass player in Whispering Wind. Glen (can’t remember his surname) was the singer and lead guitar. Danny and Cyril were from Kent.
Saw this Band at Morecombe back in the '80s (I think it was). Show was in the old bowling alley that had turned into a huge nightclub. Only another half dozen customers and I felt for the band and compère who, quite literally had a conversation with each couple. A great night, great compère and fabulous music. Their professionalism shone through, just a pity there wasn't a big audience to enjoy it.
I used to go to the battle of britain pub in gravesend kent and watched whispering wind band play there. Danny cyril glen who my friend alison bench dated for a short while. We used to go to dagenham in essex with the band. Good times great music. Wonder where they are now?
